Can I use a lamp as a temporary basking light basking light and does there have to be a water heater and does there really have to be a heating lamp also
@MrFriedchicken678 You can definitely use a lamp as a temporary basking light. Don’t use it too long! Go to the store as soon as possible and get 2 clamp lamps and a UVB bulb. The UVB bulb won’t provide heat, but it provides Vitamin D that turtles would normally get from the sun. They NEED vitamin D to grow, and if you don’t have a UVB light, try to get turtle food with Vitamin D added. So one clamp lamp for the UVB bulb, and in the other lamp you can use a regular light bulb to get your heat.
Beautiful tank, how old are yours “Chang”? And how to see about my red eared slider are males or females? pls give me a reply.
