@Kasandra59595 No,this video is wrong,and so are you.These turtles can stay in water which is at the room temperature.I got two turtles ,they are both 8 years,and never ever had a health problem.
hummm
@expertvillage
so can a turtle live its whole life in that blue container you have becaus i have a pink container and im thinking of getting a turtle. If a turtle cant live in that blue container can it live in a 10 gallon tank then because im thinking bout buying it to please comment or write back.
@alfonso96706 Absolutely not! That turtle looks like a red-eared slider. Females can grow up to a foot long. I have a 7 inch male in a 55 gallon tank, which is still too small for him IMO. My project this year is building him a 3′ x 5′ x 18″ indoor pond. These turtles may cost $20-$30 in the store but they are VERY expensive to care for properly. They are very dirty and a lot of upkeep is required to maintain good water quality. If you want something easy, get a Leopard Gecko and RESEARCH FIRST!
@Akyy1994 Only if you keep your room between 78-84 degrees all the time. If they are too cold they can get sick easily and may not eat.
oops i boiled mine to death it stiffened up like card board
what is someone keep there baby turtle in a little fish tank with water without that kight thingy and it dosesnt eat will it die or somthing….?
the temp is Fahrenheit right?
Like ur videos, but may I suggest a cough drop next time …All that clearing of ur throat is annoying.
i think i got the same heater!
hummm ummm now UHMMM

Uv light does NOT travel through glass , so no the sun is NOT a good option .. you need a uv light as well as a heat bulb .. also you need to buy a tank for your turtle .. just because your turtle is alive does NOT mean it is happy .. please either sort your poor unhappy turtle out or give it too a good home that actually cares about it
@Thesushimaniac
well 75C would kill any aquatic (or semi ) species at a guess .. yeah its F .. you should keep your tank around 25-27C if your need it that way around
@xXchuishwiffmehXx
if your trying to say you have the setup that you just mention’d then you need to do some research and buy some new things for your turtle
@xxTigerQueenxx
Ok well , first off you NEED to take the poor turtle to the lake again , keeping a wild turtle in a small tank is terrible and even worse than a captive bred turtle in a tank .. it had the whole world to itself and then you go stick it in a glass cage .. poor turtle .. and 3 krill a day for any turtle is a bad diet .. you will end up killing this poor animal due to bad housing , diet and lighting .. 10 minutes of uv a day is NOT enough !!
@xxTigerQueenxx
I will send you a private message now to tell you what you need to do , the comment box doesnt allow me to wright much
@xxTigerQueenxx
seems i carnt message you so i will just type here in 2 comments or so..
Ok first off you need to sort this poor turtle’s diet out ,
Krill and shrimp are not enough , you need turtle pellets added to the diet ( you can buy them at a pet store)
The “bowl” that your turtle is in is way too small , you need to buy at least a 20 gallon fish tank to keep it in until it grows too big for that tank ..
@xxTigerQueenxx
Letting it outside to walk around is a good idea , it needs to get uv to help with shell growth and health and also needs the heat from the sun , but you need to buy a uv light bulb when you buy a new tank so that the turtle gets uv on it for longer time
But like i said before , this turtle really needs to be put back in the wild where you found it .. you can buy a turtle that is not wild for very cheap and it will be happy in your care ..
i love red ear slider
i don’t understand why ppl buy fish tanks for their turtles, unless you’r putting it on display. Buckets work fine, and their cheaper
what pet store is this ? , do they sell cheap equipment for turtles
